There are so many things I love about Catherine! She is accepting, nonjudgmental, loving, wonderful coach and has an uncanny way of getting to the nitty gritty without making you feel judged for one second. I’ve also started working out every day, even if it’s only 10-15 minutes – I’ve stopped thinking everything needs to be 100% (60 minute workout or nothing!), and I’m just doing my best now! I’ve been really surprised at how much less challenging it is when you approach weight loss from a place of love rather than inadequacy. I’ve learned to accept myself right where I am! I no longer feel ashamed of myself for letting myself gain so much weight, and it doesn’t feel like an impossible task anymore to lose weight. I’ve recognized larger patterns that affect other areas of my life, and I’ve been able to start nurturing the parts of my soul that were being neglected, which has given me improvement in my health and my mental status.

Therapy has given me coping mechanisms for dealing with the difficulty of life, but working with Catherine has helped me see the patterns of why I became overweight.

So far, I’ve lost 18lbs! I’m going for 60 to be back in a healthy weight range, but it doesn’t sound intimidating now!

What I liked most working with you Catherine is your straightforwardness about losing weight and helping me see the ways I used denial and magical thinking to explain why I couldn’t lose weight. You helped me see I absolutely had to change this way of thinking or I would not be successful.
I learned to be honest with myself, and to take responsibility for my behavior. I learned I cannot eat whatever I want, when I want and as much as I want and lose weight (magical thinking)!!! But, I could still have my treats and go out to eat, but not do it every day!

I absolutely loved working with you. You are a good listener, empathetic, very supportive, and a wonderful person. I looked forward every week to our session. I felt very loved.
I have learned when the inside is taken care of and you start living life to the full, emotional eating loses its grip on you and you start loving and accepting your body for what it is instead of punishing or loathing yourself for not having the perfect or idealistic body. I have started appreciating my strong legs which help me on my long walks, my beautiful eyes, and so much more, instead of looking in the mirror and thinking of how ugly my lower abdomen looks.

My starting weight was 70.8 kg and my lowest weight -65.6kg. (5.2kg -11.4 pounds in 8 weeks).

I first heard of Catherine when I researched law of attraction for weight loss online. I really enjoyed her newsletters and felt they were direct to the point, no BS. I decided to join the group call in sessions and felt everything said was geared towards me. She mentioned the black and white thinking….me, the avoidance…..me, the bingeing….me. When I first called Catherine, I was fairly convinced that I was beyond help and beyond hope for losing any weight. I’m 43 and have fought with food and my body since I was 8. Despite many lines in the sand, many programs and a lot of therapy, there seemed to be only one truth left in my mind: I am meant to be overweight and I am doomed to being a quitter.
